Just for Now by Abbi Glines

Just for Now by Abbi Glines
(Sea Breeze #4)

Book Synopsis:  The day Preston Drake figured out that wealthy women paid well for a set of tight abs and a pretty face his life turned around.

The run down rat-infested trailer he had shared with his alcoholic mother and three younger siblings was now only a place he visited to pay the bills and stock the pantry with food.

He no longer worried about his family starving or living without electricity. The money he made entertaining rich older women more than covered his family’s needs and his own. He had it all figured out. Except…

There was this girl.

She was as innocent as he was tainted.

Amanda Hardy wished her knees didn’t get weak when Preston walked into a room. She hated the fact her heart raced when he flashed his smile in her direction. He had a different girl in his bed every night. He was the kind of boy a smart girl ran from. So, why was she coming up with ways to get close to him? Even when it was obvious he wanted to keep her at a distance.

Maybe her heart knew something the world didn’t. Maybe Preston Drake was more than just pretty face.

My review:  5 stars!!!

I loved this book.  This seems to be a pattern with Abbi Glines books.  She is such a fantastic writer that all her books make the 5 star list.

I LOVED Preston Drake.  I want a blonde heartthrob.  I wanted Preston and Amanda together.  They seemed like such the cute couple.  I know he screws up every chance he gets, but I know in the end that Amanda is what he needs.  He is such a kind, loving, caring guy.  He might not think he deserves someone like Amanda (he is a little cocky with women), but he does.  He means well.  He wants to take care of him family, first and foremost.

Amanda, you see her in the other books.  At first, she is definitely the spoiled brat she seems to be.  I get it, but I think she grew up during the books.  She has matured and grown into a great young woman.  She knows what she wants (which is rate these days), and she is determined to get it.  You can't blame her for that.

I loved this couple from the beginning of the book. Yes, they take wrong turns.  Yes, they both make mistakes.  Yes, they both have a long way to go.  But, dang it, they are great for each other.

Read the book and see how it ends!!
