My review:  5 stars!!!

I have loved this series and author from the first book.  I couldn't wait for this book to come out.  I actually re-read the whole series before reading this third and final book (although, I hear there might be a novella about Toby and Lucy).

This book had everything, drama, love, weddings, literally everything.  I can't say anything bad about this book and I don't want to include spoliers.  But, OMG!!!!

I love Blake and Sienna.  They are such a great couple together.  Now, granted . . . they cause each other some major problems!!  They both are crazy jealous and have some problems, but I have wanted them together since the very beginning.  This book ends well with a HEA.

Great, great, great book!!  I will have to look into Pamela Ann's other books.  I bet they are good too.

Just for Now by Abbi Glines

Just for Now by Abbi Glines
(Sea Breeze #4)

Book Synopsis:  The day Preston Drake figured out that wealthy women paid well for a set of tight abs and a pretty face his life turned around.

The run down rat-infested trailer he had shared with his alcoholic mother and three younger siblings was now only a place he visited to pay the bills and stock the pantry with food.

He no longer worried about his family starving or living without electricity. The money he made entertaining rich older women more than covered his family’s needs and his own. He had it all figured out. Except…

There was this girl.

She was as innocent as he was tainted.

Amanda Hardy wished her knees didn’t get weak when Preston walked into a room. She hated the fact her heart raced when he flashed his smile in her direction. He had a different girl in his bed every night. He was the kind of boy a smart girl ran from. So, why was she coming up with ways to get close to him? Even when it was obvious he wanted to keep her at a distance.

Maybe her heart knew something the world didn’t. Maybe Preston Drake was more than just pretty face.

My review:  5 stars!!!

I loved this book.  This seems to be a pattern with Abbi Glines books.  She is such a fantastic writer that all her books make the 5 star list.

I LOVED Preston Drake.  I want a blonde heartthrob.  I wanted Preston and Amanda together.  They seemed like such the cute couple.  I know he screws up every chance he gets, but I know in the end that Amanda is what he needs.  He is such a kind, loving, caring guy.  He might not think he deserves someone like Amanda (he is a little cocky with women), but he does.  He means well.  He wants to take care of him family, first and foremost.

Amanda, you see her in the other books.  At first, she is definitely the spoiled brat she seems to be.  I get it, but I think she grew up during the books.  She has matured and grown into a great young woman.  She knows what she wants (which is rate these days), and she is determined to get it.  You can't blame her for that.

I loved this couple from the beginning of the book. Yes, they take wrong turns.  Yes, they both make mistakes.  Yes, they both have a long way to go.  But, dang it, they are great for each other.

Read the book and see how it ends!!

While It Lasts by Abbi Glines

While it Lasts by Abbi Glines
(Sea Breeze #3)

Book Synopsis:  Cage brings his playboy prowess to the countryside as the Sea Breeze hookups continue, from self-published phenomenon Abbi Glines.

Low broke Cage’s heart by getting with Marcus in Because of Low. Cage went into a tailspin that ended in a DUI. In order to salvage his baseball scholarship—the one thing he truly valued besides Low—Cage must take a summer job. At a farm. Away from Sea Breeze. With lots of cows, but no hot girls. Maybe that’s what Cage needs to get back on track.

But wait—there’s that hostile daughter of the farm boss. She’s pretty and occasionally sweet, and there seems to be a lot of sadness and mystery behind her anger. Cage is dying to strip her down—physically and mentally—in the back of the barn. But is he prepared for what will happen afterward?

My review:  5 stars!!

I really enjoyed this book.  It was such a good book.  Although there are a few parts that I was very close to crying!!  I still loved it.

I won't ruin the story by giving up too many details.  But at the beginning of the book, is a really sad part.  It made me curious to know what happened to Josh.  So, I was hooked from the beginning of the book.

Eva is the farmer's daughter.  She is so sweet and innocent and I feel in love with her immediately!  I liked Cage in Because of Low, but we got to see a different side to him in this book.  Which was a nice change, because in Because of Low, he was this super playboy who slept with a different girl every night, even though he claimed to love Low and he was going to marry her.  I didn't like that he felt that strongly about Low, but couldn't commit to her in the way she deserved.  Which kind of made me dislike him in that book.

This book he starts with that same cocky attitude, but he changes.  He becomes someone I never thought he could be.  And I actually fell in love with him by the end of this book!  This couple if my favorite of the Sea Breeze series, so far.

I just found out that Cage and Eva's story continues in a second book, called Sometimes it Lasts, coming August 2013.

Another great book by Abbi Glines.  I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Happy reading!!

Because of Low by Abbi Glines

Because of Low by Abbi Glines
(Sea Breeze #2)

Book Synopsis:  It’s steamy in the Gulf town of Sea Breeze. Physical attraction is the only way to beat the heat in this start to a series from bestselling, previously self-published author Abbi Glines.

Playboy Cage owns the apartment, and he hosts a revolving door of people, in and out, at all times. Most of them are long-legged hot girls who are never there more than a night or two. When Cage’s new roommate, Marcus, enters the picture, he’s just looking to nurse a broken heart. But there’s one particular semi-frequent regular who catches his eye.

Willow—“Low”—is the one Cage wants to marry. But the two of them are night and day, and Marcus can’t see how Low puts up with all of Cage’s womanizing. What she really needs is a real man....like good-looking and sensible Marcus. But that’s going to get real complicated and real messy—real fast.

My review:  5 stars!!

This is the second book in a series.  And from what I can tell, each book is about a different set of characters.  I have loved this series so much.   I mean, it's usually the same, boy meets girl . . . they hate each other but can't stay away from each other . . . they end up together.  But, that's the type of story I'm into right now.

This book does not let you down.  You met Marcus in the first book, when he works with Sienna and falls for her, only to be let down when she falls for Jax Stone.

So, you already know what type of guy Marcus is.  He's sweet, protective of his family, good looking, and mending a broken heart.  Then he meets Low.  Actually, she shows up at his apartment looking for Cage.  Instantly Marcus is attracted to her.  Low and Cage's relationship is unconventional to say the least and Marcus just doesn't understand it.  But, he wants Low to himself.

Both have painful family memories and both want to move on.  Watching their relationship develop is real.  Real events happen.  Events that change the course of their relationship.

It's a great story and I enjoyed reading it.

My review:  5 stars!!!

I started this book yesterday, and finished it today.  I loved it.  I loved Sadie immediately.  I disliked her mother from the start.  There is no excuse for a mother to do what Sadie's mom did to her.  She was a child, and forced to grow up well before her time.

This book had me hooked from the first page.  I just loved this book.  The story is great. Who wouldn't love a rock-star?!?!

I think Sadie handled her circumstances well and proved that she was as grown-up as she could be.  She deserves to be happy and love life.  And Jax is perfect for her. The things he says to her, just makes your heart melt!!  He is so sweet and caring and loving.  He is perfect!!  I love Jax.

Go get this book and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!  Besides, it's written by Abbi Glines, and she is one of the best!!

My review:  5 stars!!!!

Since I read the first two books before I started blogging, I will put the series together and do a review for all three books.  So, here goes:

Now, a friend of mine started the first book, and just couldn't get into it right away.  So, I started the book.  After several chapters, the book started getting really good.  I told my friend that, and she started reading the book again.  Here is why I think she might have struggled with it at first . . . the book takes place in London.  So, essentially the words and word order are different, and kind of funny.  We all talk different, it doesn't matter where we are from.  I'm originally from the North and people say I still talk funny.  So, when starting this series, you have to understand that it's written in a different country, by an author who uses the Bristish English version of words (e.g., boot of a car, knickers (referring to underwear) etc.).  But, once you get past the words used, you fall in love with the series and characters.

The first book ends on a cliffhanger and tells the story about Jesse and Ava.  The second book ends in a cliffhanger.  The third book of this series ends.  It is the final book.  When I finished it, I was sad.  I loved the series so much, I didn't want it to end.

As much as I liked the first and second books, the third is by far my favorite!!  I could not put it down.  I wanted to keep reading it.  It's a very long book too (I can't remember if the first two where this long), so I felt I was never going to reach the end.  But, I did.  And the ending was better than my wildest dreams.

I am so proud of Ava and happy for her.  She had a lot thrown at her and she managed to forgive and forget for everything.  I'm not sure what I would do if I was put in her position.  I'm not sure I could be as forgiving.  Let's just hope I never have to find out.

Go and read this series . . . you will not regret it.  Just remember, British English style writing.

One of my all time favorite series!!!!  Ms. Jodi Ellen Malpas, great job!!  Keep writing.  You have a fan for life.

________________________________________________________________

My review:  4 stars!!!

This book picked up where the first one left off.  That's one point for this book.

I liked this book much more than I did the first book.  I picked it up and I was hooked from the first page.  The storyline still moves kind of slow, but it's not bad.

Jett opens up more in this book, which I think is big.  And Brooke is less intimidated by Jett this time.

You also see more of Sylvie in this book.  Which I think is huge.  She's such a fun character.  She and Brooke have been friends for a long time, and Sylvie calls Brooke out and makes her confront things head-on.  Sylvie is a good friend and someone Brooke needs.

The book ends on a cliffhanger, which is not unusual.  There will be a third book, Treasure Your Love, due out in September.  Keep your eyes out for it!!  It should not disappoint.

My review:  3.5 stars!!!

Okay, let me just start by saying, I never give low ratings on books.  However, I could rate the beginning of the book lower than above.  Let me explain . . .

First, I love to read.  Second, I love to read books that grab your attention from the very first page.

This book did not do that for me.  In fact, I had to push myself to continue reading the book through the first half.  And for me, that's very hard.  I like books that are hard to put down.  This one was easy to put down . . . at first.

About half way through this book, the story picked up.  Then by the end I couldn't wait to finish it.  Then I couldn't wait to buy the second one!!  So, at the very end of this book I was hooked.  The the ending was a cliffhanger and I immediately bought the second one.  I am currently reading the second book, the review to come!!

Thanks!!
